  • Persons accompanying a child under 16 who is hospitalised: When a child is hospitalised in the adult surgery department, he or she will be placed in a private room. One parent may stay in this room without being charged the private room supplement
  • Up to the age of six (i.e. up to the date of a child’s 6th birthday): One parent benefits from a free accommodation package (folding bed and meals). Breakfast is served in the room and meals may be taken in the cafeteria (or in the room on request to the hotel service in the surgical department.). For access to the cafeteria, the staff will issue an electronic token marked “accompanying person.”
  • From 6 to 16 years of age: One of the two parents is accommodated free on a folding bed. Breakfast is served in the room. However, the meals provided must be paid for. For this, the nursing team will provide a token for the cafeteria marked “visitor.”
  • Accompanying an adult: In the case of a person accompanying a patient at the end of their life or a person with a severe disability, a bed is provided free of charge for the accompanying person in the patient’s room. However, meals must be paid for by the accompanying person.
